The film tells the story of Madhukrisha (Utpal Das), the youngest son of Hariprashanna (Nipon Goswami), who falls in love with Mukta (Debasmita Banerjee), a Bengali girl, and elopes with her. He keeps her as a maid in his home, fearing his parents' reaction. However, when his parents find out that Mukta is pregnant, they accept her as their daughter-in-law and scold Madhu for hiding his marriage.
